Also note: All kaloches, recalled or not, were tested and approved by the USDA. The only reason a small percentage of our kaloches were involved in the recall is because the manufacturer Double B Foods decided to recall every product made at the their plant that week. Dear Valued Customer,

On today's date, we received notice from Double B Foods and USDA that there has been a recall of some of our kaloches. We have identified which kaloches are involved and have been asked by USDA to notify you of this. They also asked if you would try and contact anyone who purchased a kaloche and ask to dispose of it.

We have been told by officials of the company who made the kaloches that our kaloches , during routine test, were fine, but the company decided to recall any and all products made that week due to a questionable test on a totally different product that was going to New York. Our products are only about 1% of their business, so the recall was large.

USDA realized that most of these kaloches have probably already been consumed but wants to err on the side of caution.

Since we were not notified of a recall until today, we began efforts to notify our customers involved as soon as possible. We realize many schools are out next week, but we will do our best.

We will be happy to refund you any kaloches that need to be disposed of or ship you new ones. The plant will make new kaloches next week, and we can ship the week after.
